Weir is a Data365 alternative for X (Twitter) and Reddit data that bills per result, with no monthly subscription.
Data365 covers seven social networks on monthly plans that start at €300. We run Weir, so every Data365 fact here comes from data365.co, checked on 22 October 2026.
A Data365 Twitter search is a task you start, wait on and then fetch. On Weir it is one call:
curl https://api.weirapp.io/v1/x/search \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $WEIR_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"query": "yourbrand", "limit": 20}'
Data365 alternative or Data365: which fits you?
Both sell public social data by API. They differ in how you pay and how many networks you get.
| Data365 | Weir | |
|---|---|---|
| Billing | Monthly, in euros | One-off packs, in dollars |
| Entry price | €300 a month | Free, then $5 |
| Networks | Up to 7 | X and Reddit |
| Search | 7 credits, then 1 a post | 1 credit a call, 1 a post |
| Profile | 9 credits | 2 credits, plus 1 a call |
| Results arrive | 1 to 5 minutes later | In the same call |
| Getting a key | Form and intro call | Sign up, no card |
| AI chat (MCP) | None listed | Remote MCP server |
A credit is not the same money on each side. Fully used, Basic works out to €0.60 per 1,000 credits. Weir's packs run $0.10 to $0.20 per 1,000.
Pick by the job:
- You need Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Threads or Pinterest: choose Data365. Weir reads X and Reddit only.
- You need comments on most posts, at volume: choose Data365. Its 5-credit post with comments is hard to beat.
- Your volume is small or uneven: choose Weir. You pay for what you read, and packs never expire.
- An AI agent will read the data: choose Weir. Its X MCP server works in Claude and ChatGPT.
Data365 pricing: what each plan costs in October 2026
Data365 sells three monthly subscriptions, priced in euros.

Here is the billing basis for each price, from Data365's pricing page and FAQ:
- Basic and Standard are monthly subscriptions. The FAQ says the plan "is billed monthly", by card or wire transfer.
- Custom is quoted. You talk to sales about networks and volume.
- Credits come with the plan. The page doesn't say whether unused credits roll over, or what happens past the limit.
- Only POST requests spend credits. Data365's intro page says the GET calls that check and fetch a task are free.
- The free trial lasts 14 days, with no card. It starts after a form and an intro call, and the intro page caps it at 500,000 credits.
Each kind of data has its own credit price:
A search request costs 7 credits, then each post it finds costs 1 more. Data365's own example: 100 posts with comments cost 7 + 100 × 5 = 507 credits.
The full credit table lives in Data365's API docs. The FAQ says those open "after you have an introductory call with our team."
What 90,000 X posts a month cost on each
Take a brand-tracking job: 10 keywords on X, each searched 3 times a day, with 100 posts per search. Over 30 days, that's 900 searches and 90,000 posts.
On Data365 Basic:
- Searches: 900 × 7 = 6,300 credits.
- Total: 96,300 credits, well inside Basic's 500,000.
- Price: €300, about $337 at the ECB's 21 October rate.
On Weir:
- Calls: X serves about 20 posts per search page, so 90,000 posts take 4,500 calls.
- Credits: 4,500 + 90,000 = 94,500. Less 5,000 free, you buy 89,500.
- Price: $14.92 at the $20 pack's rate.
You'd buy one $20 pack of 120,000 credits. About 30,500 carry over, since packs never expire.
Now push Basic to its limit. 4,600 searches of 100 posts use 492,200 Data365 credits, still €300.
The same 460,000 posts on Weir take 23,000 calls, or 483,000 credits. Less the free 5,000, that's $59.75 at the $200 pack's rate.
Basic covers one network. A second one means Standard, at €850 a month.
How the Data365 Twitter API works: start, wait, fetch
Data365 runs each request as a task. Its intro page lays out three calls:
- POST to start a taskFor example /twitter/profile/{username}/update. This call spends credits.
- GET the same pathRepeat until the status reads "finished", 1 to 5 minutes on average.
- GET the resultsThe data comes back as JSON, and this call is free.
The same page lists auto-updating tasks and a callback when a task finishes. Traffic is capped at 100 requests a second.
Weir answers in the call you make. We ran a search of @XDevelopers' own posts on 22 October 2026, leaving out reposts and replies. It returned 3 posts for 4 credits; the newest, trimmed:

For alerts, Weir has monitors that post only new results to a signed webhook. They run daily on the free tier and hourly on paid tiers.
