Why people look for an alternative
Since Reddit's Responsible Builder Policy (November 2025), new apps need Reddit's approval before they can use the Data API, and commercial use needs a separate agreement. Pushshift, which many research tools relied on, is no longer publicly available. Weir is independent and not affiliated with Reddit; whichever route you take, make sure your use of the data complies with Reddit's terms.

Whole threads, page by page

Search that works
Search all of Reddit or inside one subreddit, sorted by relevance, new, top or comments, with time windows.
Monitors
Watch a keyword, a subreddit or a thread on a schedule and get only what is new, sent to your webhook.

Questions
Is Weir affiliated with Reddit?
No. Weir is an independent service that reads public Reddit content. You are responsible for making sure your use of the data complies with Reddit's User Agreement and policies.
Can I get historical data like Pushshift had?
Weir returns what Reddit currently serves publicly: search, listings and threads. It is not a bulk archive of deleted or removed content.
Does it include NSFW or private subreddits?
NSFW results are excluded unless you set includeNsfw. Private communities are not public, so Weir never returns them.
What does a Reddit post cost?
A Reddit post or comment is 3 credits, plus 1 credit per request. The free monthly credits cover a few thousand results.
