A Twitter job search starts with a hiring phrase and your role, typed into X's search box and sorted by Latest.
This guide is for job seekers who want to find jobs on X (Twitter), straight from the companies posting them. You get searches to copy, filters that cut the noise, a daily alert, and the scam signs to check. We run Weir, the API behind the alert.
Paste this into X's search box, then pick Latest:
("we're hiring" OR "join our team") "customer support" remote -giveaway -filter:replies
- Search the phrase"we're hiring" plus your role, on Latest.
- Cut the noise-giveaway, -filter:replies, min_faves:2.
- Keep it freshsince: drops last year's posts.
- Watch the companiesfrom: or a List of employers.
- Get a daily alertA search monitor finds what's new.
Step 1: Run a Twitter job search with hiring phrases
To search jobs on Twitter, start from the phrases companies use to announce roles. Put each phrase in quotes so X matches the words together, and join them with OR.
Phrases worth trying:
"we're hiring"or"now hiring"for announcements."join our team"for posts that end with a call to apply.hiringwith the role, likehiring "data analyst".remotewhen you want roles you can do from home.
Add your role in quotes, then pick Latest so the newest posts come first. Top is X's own ranking, so a fresh post can sit below an older one.
Step 2: Cut the noise with search filters
Hiring phrases also catch giveaways, replies and spam. These operators clean up the list:
-giveawaydrops any post with that word. Add others that keep showing up.-filter:replieskeeps original posts and drops the replies under them.min_faves:2sets a small likes floor;min_replies:does the same for replies.filter:linkskeeps posts with a link, since you'll want somewhere to apply.lang:enkeeps posts X detected as English.
We ran this search through Weir's API on 22 October 2026. Weir's search takes the same filters as fields:
{
"query": "remote",
"phrase": "customer support",
"anyWords": ["we're hiring", "join our team"],
"excludeWords": ["giveaway"],
"onlyOriginal": true,
"onlyLinks": true,
"language": "en",
"minLikes": 2,
"limit": 3
}
It cost 4 credits. Two of the three posts it returned came from company accounts:
| Account | Company | Remote role | Posted |
|---|---|---|---|
| @StartbuttonHQ | Startbutton Africa | Customer Support Agent | 9 Oct 2026 |
| @mtechzilla | MTechZilla | Customer Support Executive | 8 Mar 2026 |
The third came from a person's own account that shares jobs, so we left it out.
X also matched "We’re hiring" with a curly apostrophe, so you don't need both spellings. And the three newest matches went back to March, so a search this narrow stays quiet.
Step 3: Keep the results fresh with dates
Old job posts waste your time. Add since: and a date to drop anything older:
("we're hiring" OR "join our team") "customer support" remote since:2026-10-01
X reads these dates as whole UTC days, and until: leaves out its own day. Our guide to searching tweets by date covers the traps.
The free X advanced search builder writes this from a form. Put each hiring phrase in quotes in its "Any of these words" box.
Step 4: Follow company accounts and Lists
The companies you want to work for are your best source. Follow them and their careers accounts, then search all of them at once by chaining from: with OR:
(from:posthog OR from:gitlab OR from:zapier) hiring
We tried ten well-known tech companies on 22 October 2026, adding "engineer". All three newest matches were long-form X Articles from PostHog, not job posts.
Their post text held neither word, so X matched text inside the Articles. Two of the three also carried X's "zxx" language code, meaning no text, so lang:en would have dropped them.
For a longer list, add the companies to a public List and search inside it with list: and the List's id:
list:1234567890 hiring remote
Swap in your own List's id. Our guide to exporting Twitter List members shows where to find it.
Step 5: Get a daily job alert by API
A saved search beats checking X every morning. Weir's search monitor runs your query on a schedule and reports only what is new.
A monitor's query takes X's own syntax, quotes and all:
import os, requests
API = "https://api.weirapp.io/v1/monitors"
headers = {"Authorization": f"Bearer {os.environ['WEIR_API_KEY']}"}
query = '''("we're hiring" OR "join our team") "customer support" remote -giveaway -filter:replies'''
monitor = {
"name": "Remote support jobs",
"target": {"kind": "search", "query": query, "sources": ["x"]},
"schedule": "daily",
}
response = requests.post(API, json=monitor, headers=headers, timeout=60)
response.raise_for_status()
print("monitor id:", response.json()["data"]["id"])
Read what it found at any time, for free:
curl https://api.weirapp.io/v1/monitors/$MONITOR_ID/results \
--header "Authorization: Bearer $WEIR_API_KEY"
Here is a daily alert on the free tier, in numbers:
Each run costs a credit, plus one per new post it stores, as Weir's monitor docs explain. A run reads one page, so a broad query like hiring alone can outrun it; keep yours narrow. Hourly runs need a paid tier, and buying the $5 pack is enough.
On the search endpoint, anyWords and excludeWords now quote multi-word entries for you, so "we're hiring" stays a phrase.
Why does my Twitter job search return nothing?
- The likes floor is too high. Job posts often get few likes. Our two company posts had 6 or fewer.
- The role is too exact. Try a shorter title, like "support" for "customer support".
until:cut off today. It leaves out its own day, so drop it for fresh posts.- You're on Top. Switch to Latest to see every match by time.
How to spot a fake job post on X
Scammers post jobs too. Before you apply, run three checks:
- Never pay to apply. The FTC says honest employers "will never ask you to pay to get a job".
- Find the role on the company's own site. Apply through its careers page, not a link someone sends you.
- Search the company's name with "scam" or "review". That's the FTC's own advice.
In the US, you can report a fake at ReportFraud.ftc.gov.
When not to use Weir
- You check X once a day by hand. The search box and our free builder cost you nothing.
- Alerts must land within seconds. TwitterAPI.io's stream pushes posts from accounts you pick, most in under a second. It starts at $29 a month as of October 2026.
- The plan is to message recruiters in bulk. Weir is read-only, and its policy bans finding people to send unsolicited messages to.
- Hourly checks have to be free. The free tier runs daily.
FAQ
How do I find remote jobs on Twitter?
Search a hiring phrase, your role and the word remote, like "we're hiring" "product designer" remote, and pick Latest. Add -filter:replies and a recent since: date to cut old and off-topic posts. Then follow the companies that keep showing up.
Does X have a job search tool?
X has one, called X Hiring. Greenhouse's help center, last updated in April 2024, says its customers' live job posts sync to X's job board at x.com/jobs. We couldn't load that page from our tools, so check it yourself while signed in.
What hashtags do job postings on X use?
Job-Hunt.org suggests #jobs, #joblistings and #jobopenings. Of the two company posts we found, one used #Hiring and the other used no hashtag at all, so search the hiring phrases as well.
Should I change my X profile when job hunting?
Yes. Say the role you want in your bio and link to your work, so a recruiter who finds you knows what you do. Post about your field now and then, so your profile backs up the bio.
Can I get alerts for new job posts on X?
Save your search as a Weir monitor. On the free tier it runs once a day and keeps only posts it hasn't shown you, and reading what it found costs nothing.
