Twitter thread reader

Paste any post from an X thread and read the whole thread on one page, ready to copy or save as Markdown. No X account needed.

About 1 credit per post plus 1 per run (a 10-post thread is 11 credits), from your free Weir credits (5,000 a month, no card).

How it works

A thread on X is a chain of posts where the author replies to their own post. The reader takes the post you paste, finds the conversation it belongs to, and keeps only the author’s own posts in reading order: the posts before it, the post itself, and the continuation below it. It runs on Weir’s thread endpoint, the same call developers use from code.

The Markdown export keeps the author, the date, a link back to the original, and links to any images or videos, so it pastes cleanly into Notion, Obsidian or a document. To pull threads from a script instead, see the Twitter thread API guide. To summarize threads in a chat, connect Weir to Claude or ChatGPT.

What it costs

Every Weir account gets 5,000 free credits a month. A run costs 1 credit plus 1 per post in the thread, and a call that fails costs nothing. See pricing for more.

Questions

How do I unroll a Twitter thread?

Copy the link of any post in the thread (Share, then Copy link), paste it above and press Run. The reader finds the author's whole thread, in reading order, and shows it on one page with buttons to copy it or save it as a Markdown file.

Do I need an X account?

No. The thread is read through Weir's API, so you need a free Weir account but no X account and no X login.

Is the thread reader free?

Yes, on Weir's free plan: 5,000 credits every month, no card. A thread costs 1 credit per post plus 1 per run, so a 10-post thread uses 11 credits.

Does it show replies from other people?

No. It shows the author's own thread only. To read the replies under a post, use the replies call in Weir's API or ask an AI agent with Weir connected.

Why does a very long thread stop early?

The thread is built from X's first page of the conversation. When a thread is long enough for X to fold part of it behind "Show more", the reader ends at that fold.

Can it read protected or deleted posts?

No. Only public posts that still exist can be read. A protected account's posts are visible only to the followers it approved.
