Cover image: Bulk queries or small searches?

Xpoz bills per query, not per post, so it wins on big result pages; Weir wins on small searches and free monthly credits.

Xpoz serves X (Twitter), Reddit, TikTok and Instagram data over MCP, REST and SDKs, on monthly credit plans. We run Weir, so every Xpoz fact here comes from Xpoz's own pages, checked on 25 October 2026.

Moving an Xpoz search to Weir is one call:

curl https://api.weirapp.io/v1/x/search \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $WEIR_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"fromUsers": ["github"], "query": "-filter:nativeretweets", "onlyOriginal": true, "limit": 20}'

Xpoz or Weir: which fits you?

It depends on how many posts each query returns, and on the platforms you need.

Xpoz bills a flat 2 credits for an X or Reddit query, however many rows come back. Weir bills 1 credit per X post plus 1 per call, from prepaid packs.

Xpoz Weir

Xpoz pricing: 2 credits per query, not per post

Xpoz's pricing page says there is "no charge for the number of rows returned." You pay per query, by platform:

Xpoz credits per query, October 2026
X (Twitter)2 credits
Reddit2 credits
TikTok5 credits
Instagram12 credits

Credits come in monthly plans:

500free credits, once, never refreshed
$20a month for Pro's 7,500 credits
$200a month for Max's 120,000 credits

From the same page and Xpoz's docs:

  • Yearly billing saves 20%: $192 a year for Pro, $1,920 for Max.
  • Extra credits cost $3 per 1,000 on Pro and $2 on Max. Free accounts stop at zero.
  • Every page is a query. Pages hold 100 rows, and each is "a new call at the same platform rate."
  • Fast mode is one batch you can't page: up to 100 rows in one doc, 300 in another.
  • CSV exports bill the query, plus every row against a separate allowance.

What 1,000 X posts cost on each

Page size decides it. Xpoz's MCP server and SDKs serve 100 rows a page, while its REST /live endpoints return one page from X: 20 posts in Xpoz's own example.

Xpoz's docs say all its interfaces "meter the same credits", so each page costs 2 credits. For 1,000 posts:

  • Xpoz, 100-row pages: 10 queries, or 20 credits. That's $0.053 on Pro and $0.033 on Max, if you use the whole plan.
  • Xpoz, 20-post pages: 50 queries, or 100 credits: $0.27 on Pro, $0.17 on Max.
  • Weir: 50 calls plus 1,000 posts, or 1,050 credits: $0.105 to $0.21, by pack.
Price per 1,000 X posts, October 2026
Xpoz Pro, 20-post pages$0.267
Weir, $5 pack$0.210
Xpoz Max, 20-post pages$0.167
Weir, $1,000 pack$0.105
Xpoz Pro, 100-row pages$0.053
Xpoz Max, 100-row pages$0.033

What a month of X posts costs

Xpoz is a subscription, so a small month costs the full plan price.

At 10,000 posts a month:

  • Xpoz: 100 queries, or 200 credits. The free 500 last about ten weeks; then Pro costs $20 a month.
  • Weir: 10,500 credits, less 5,000 free: $1.10 at the $5 pack's rate.

At 1 million posts a month:

  • Xpoz: 10,000 queries on 100-row pages, or 20,000 credits. Pro plus 12,500 extra credits costs $57.50.
  • Weir: 1,050,000 credits, less 5,000 free: $104.50 at the $1,000 pack's rate.
Reading 1 million X posts a month
Xpoz Max, 20-post pages$200.00
Weir, $200 pack rate$130.63
Weir, $1,000 pack rate$104.50
Xpoz Pro plus extra credits, 100-row pages$57.50

Weir stays under Pro's $20 up to about 100,000 posts a month. Past that, full Xpoz pages cost less.

Is Xpoz cheaper for small agent searches?

No. Agents often ask for 10 posts at a time, and Xpoz charges the same 2 credits for 10 rows as for 100.

11 creditsa 10-post Weir search: $0.0011 to $0.0022
2 creditsone Xpoz X query: $0.0027 to $0.0053, by plan

At Weir's dearest rate, a search of 12 posts or fewer costs less on Weir than on any listed Xpoz plan. Against Pro billed monthly, the line is 25 posts.

So an agent that runs many small searches spends less on Weir.

Xpoz MCP server, skills and platforms

Built for agents, Xpoz offers:

  • 48 MCP tools across X, Reddit, TikTok and Instagram, at https://mcp.xpoz.ai/mcp.
  • 14 Agent Skills, installed with npx skills add, for jobs like sentiment analysis.
  • Cached unless you ask. Its X tools take a forceLatest flag to "force fresh data from API."
  • Tracking: 1 slot on Free, 3 on Pro, for "better coverage" of chosen keywords.

Weir's MCP server is at https://api.weirapp.io/mcp, as our X MCP server page shows. Claude and ChatGPT sign in with OAuth, and an agent can also set itself up from Weir's skill.

When to choose Xpoz

Choose Xpoz if you need TikTok or Instagram, or pull big result sets every month.

Good

  • X, Reddit, TikTok and Instagram through one MCP server
  • 2 credits per X or Reddit query, 100 rows a page
  • About $0.03 to $0.05 per 1,000 posts on full pages
  • CSV exports of up to 500,000 rows
  • A 14-day money-back guarantee on paid plans

Watch out

  • 500 free credits, once; after that, Pro at $20 a month
  • A 10-post query costs as much as a 100-post one
  • No webhook alerts in its docs

When to choose Weir

Weir is the better fit for small or uneven volume, quick agent searches, and alerts.

Good

  • 5,000 free credits every month, about 4,760 posts
  • No subscription: packs from $5 that never expire
  • A 10-post search costs 11 credits, $0.0022 at most
  • X's own search, with operators, like floors and Top sort
  • Monitors that send only new posts, by signed webhook
  • 25 X endpoints, from Lists and Spaces to Articles

Watch out

  • X and Reddit only
  • Dearer per post than Xpoz's full 100-row pages
  • 30 requests a minute on the free tier, 600 at most

Weir reads public data only and is not affiliated with X or Reddit.

Moving an Xpoz search to Weir

On Xpoz's REST API, a live search is a GET with a bearer key:

curl -G "https://api.xpoz.ai/api/data/twitter/posts/live" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $XPOZ_API_KEY" \
  --data-urlencode "q=artificial intelligence" \
  --data-urlencode "fields=id,authorUsername,text,likeCount"

Weir's is the call at the top. We ran it through Weir's MCP server on 25 October 2026 and got 20 posts for 21 credits. The newest, trimmed:

{
  "id": "2114145673033691289",
  "text": "#GitHubUniverse badge just went digital… and yes it runs Doom. ...",
  "createdAt": "2026-10-25T00:03:02.000Z",
  "author": { "username": "github", "followersCount": 2726305 },
  "likeCount": 146,
  "viewCount": 30657
}

The same page through Xpoz's REST API would cost 2 credits, whatever it held. These fields change name:

Xpoz Weir
GET .../twitter/posts/live POST /v1/x/search
q query
sortBy: latest sort: "latest"
results[] data[]
next_page_cursor meta.nextCursor, sent as cursor
authorUsername author.username
impressionCount viewCount
replyToTweetId inReplyToId

Both take the key as Authorization: Bearer. Stop paging when meta.nextCursor is null.

When not to use Weir

  • You need TikTok or Instagram. Weir reads X and Reddit only.
  • Your queries return hundreds of posts. Xpoz's 100-row pages cost 2 to 6 times less per post.
  • You pull Reddit in bulk. Xpoz charges 2 credits a query; Weir charges 3 per post.
  • You want counts, not posts. Xpoz's countTweets returns how many posts match a phrase, without fetching them.

FAQ

How much does Xpoz cost?

As of October 2026, Xpoz gives 500 free credits once. Pro costs $20 a month for 7,500 credits and Max $200 for 120,000, or 20% less billed yearly. An X or Reddit query costs 2 credits.

Does Xpoz charge per result?

No. Xpoz charges per query, with "no charge for the number of rows returned." But each extra page counts as a new query, and CSV rows count against a separate allowance.

Is Weir a good Xpoz alternative?

For X searches by AI agents, small or uneven volume, and webhook alerts, yes. For TikTok, Instagram, or bulk pulls of hundreds of posts per query, Xpoz fits better.
